What to check about the daily journey
- Which crossing you will use (the Causeway at the CIQ, or the Second Link on the Iskandar Puteri side) and how it behaves at your travel hours.
- How you will travel: car, bus, motorbike or rail, and the cost of each.
- The walk or ride from the home to the stop or checkpoint, and noise near busy roads.
- Ringgit and Singapore dollar costs: rent and instalments are in ringgit.
Frequently asked questions
Is it better to live near the CIQ or further out?
Near the CIQ you are closer to the crossing, usually in a smaller unit. Further out you may get more space for the same budget but a longer journey. It depends on your priorities.
Do these figures include the cost of commuting?
No. They are asking rents and prices of condominiums only. Add your own travel costs when you compare areas.
Sources and method
Figures come from the property listings published on benfooproperty.com on 7 November 2026, refreshed daily. They are asking prices and asking rents set by owners, not sale prices, and medians are used so a few very high or low prices do not distort the result. Loan examples use the stated assumptions and are not a bank offer. Written and reviewed by Ben Foo, registered estate negotiator (REN 33376), PropNex Realty Sdn.
